Race Pack Collection

Venue: Mbombela Stadium
Date: Friday, 4 November 2022
Time: 10:00am to 10:00pm

Your timing chip is part of the race number and must be attached to the front of your shirt.

Please do not bend or tamper with the chip in any way.

Come prepared with your ID and race confirmation sent earlier in the week.

Collecting for someone else? 

You’ll need the same confirmation letter and a copy of his/her ID and signed authorisation.

If you are collecting on behalf of someone else complete the Authorisation and bring it with a copy of their ID document.

Late entries Substitutions & Downgrades

Venue: Mbombela Stadium

Substitutions: A consent / confirmation letter from the owner of the allocated race number. Fees payable: R100.

Downgrades: Downgrades are allowed. 

Upgrades: Not allowed

Late Entries: Entries are closed. No late entries allowed

Road Closure

There will be no road closure on the route on race day except for 15 minutes before the start while runners assemble in the road. 

Runners are advised to adhere to the rules of the road and to the instructions of the race referees and Marshalls.

Parking 

No parking will be available at the 21km and 42km starting areas. Parking next to the road at the respective starting points is very limited and it is quite unsafe to leave vehicles unattended for extended periods.

Athletes are strongly advised to see this as a drop-and-go facility only, or to use the race buses.

 

Timing

A timing chip has been provided with your race number which is attached to the race number.

NO RACE NUMBER, NO TIMING CHIP, NO RACE TIMES

Timing chips are pre-programmed for specific distances. Please do not change your race distance as this creates problems with the race results.

Emergency

Medical personnel will be available on the road as well as the stadium.

Toilet Facilities

Please make use of the Toilet facilities provided at the start. NMC arranged for toilets to be placed at the start. Forest Management asked runners to consider the environment and not to litter. 

NMC will have ZERO tolerance against littering in the forest. Runners will be disqualified if found using the forest area as a toilet or if found littering.

Tog Bags

Tog bag Facilities will be available at the 42km Starting point as well as Mbombela Stadium. 

Collection of Tog Bags will be at Mbombela Stadium.

STARTING AREAS SAFETY ALERT

For your own safety, please be careful at the starting points. This road will carry heavy traffic on race-day. We urge runners to be extra careful while waiting for the race to start.

ASA Rules apply:

 REFEREES’ DECISION IS FINAL ●Obey all Traffic Officials and Race Marshals. ●All Covid-19 protocols need to be adhered to. ●The race will be run according to the rules of ASA, WORLD ATHLETICS (WA) & AMPU House rules. ●Ages: Athletes for 10km must be 14 years on the day of the race. 21.1km must be 16 years of age on the day of the race. 42.2km must be 20 years of age on the day of the race ●Proof of age (ID) to be produced upon request on day of race. ●All athletes participate at their own risk and by entering the event they acknowledge that they are medically fit to participate. ●Registered athletes must wear full club colours. ●2022 license numbers on the front and back of the vest. ●Temporary license must be fixed on the back of the vest. ● Age category ID tags must be clearly displayed for the duration of the event (back and front) by athletes competing for a category prize AND must be fixed on all 4 corners and not be covered by rain jacket or any shirt. ●Only athletes with a race number and license numbers will be allowed into event area. Race number must be worn on the front of the vest. ● ASA license numbers must not be covered with any paper race numbers /race bib. ●Walkers competing for Walkers prize must have the “W” fixed on the left front and back of the vest, all 4 corners must be fixed. ●No littering, please make use of waste boxes at the start/finish – RUN CLEAN ●All participates must take note that photographs might be taken at the event and placed on social media.●No earphones, iPods and similar devices are allowed.
